I haven't posted for a long time so,  I am back!
  
 I had to go to the Doctor's and get blood drawn the other day. I had the best person ever do it! She was legend, wait for it..... dairy!   She was so good at it I couldn't even feel the needle until she started pulling it out of my hand. (I must have good veins in my hands. Phlebotomists love them!)   She gave me a good pointer about giving painless shots.  She said that if you pull the skin tight, you will barely feel it.  I tried it later that night, and she was right!

Good news! The insurance company has officially approved the growth hormone!

Human Shrink Hormone

I haven't posted forever but I have been using the growth hormone for a while now. It has been getting easier to use it every night. I have found a spot where I can hardly even feel it! It is pretty cool that I don't really feel it at all.
Two weeks ago, my Dad decided to measure me so that we can tell if I grow.  I stood against the closet door and he measured me. My mom wanted to measure me again a few weeks later and so Dad got the measuring tape and asked me to stand against the door.  We found that I had shrunk by a whole 1/2 inch. (I didn't have shoes on either time.)  I don't think that's how growth hormone is supposed to work.

So I got the growth hormone and have had 3 shots so far.  Here's how to use it!

Growth Hormone

I'm getting growth hormone tomorrow in the mail, but I have to wait to learn how to use it on Monday.  It's sadly, not a sticker like my estrogen. It is a little shot but at least I don't have to do it all my life.  I will have to manage my estrogen all my life.

 I am a little scared about it, but I hear that it does not hurt at all and that babies that they use this on don't even cry.   So, that makes me feel a little better. I give the shot to myself but the doctor is going to help us learn how to do it.  I don't think I am as scared as I am nervous about it.      

A little about me...

I thought I should tell you a little more about myself.  I am an identical twin.  But my twin is about a foot taller then me!  People at school don't believe we are twins, some don't even think we are sisters! People just can't look past the height difference.  When we where born, all the doctors said that we were identical.  It looked like there was just one placenta, we have the same blood type, and had twin to twin infusion. (that is when one twin has more blood. That  only happens in identical twins.  So, everyone thought that we were identical. But... when my twin, Fiona, started to get taller and started to go through puberty without me, we thought thought that we must be fraternal.  As the height gap continued to grow, our doctor said that I might have Mosaic Turner's.  She was right.  Pretty weird that we started out with the same DNA and ended up looking different!

Turners

Hi i am 13 and in  7th grade and have been dignosed with mosaic Turners which means that some of the cells in my body have no x chromnosome. Mosiac is rarer then normal Turners.  Normal Turners is when  none of the cells have a x chromosome.  Only girls can get this because they have two x chromosomes.  In a normal case the sets of two would only have one x chromnosome.  But with mosaic Turners only some of the cells have no x chromnosome.  We have been serching for those cells in my body since November. aka  lots of blood tests. and lots of missed school! :) What Turners does to a girls body is it causes a girl to be short,  have delayed puberty, lots of ear infections, troubles learning math:( a shortend 4th knuckle, toenails that grow up instead of foward, webbed neck, and swollen feet at birth.  I have ear infections and i am only 4feet six inches tall at 13.  I also have delayed puberty and I am on a IEP for math and I have been as long as I can remember.
